  • Plant Bio :

Cercestis mirabilis, a stunning plant from African rain forests with silver and green marked leaves.  These are under story plants which climb up & on ever green trees in humid forests.

  • Positioning

Position your Cercestis mirabilis' in a spot with very good light but mostly indirect light emulating the dappled shade of its tropical home. Avoid letting the intense midday sun shine directly onto the leaves as this will result in a discolouration.  This plant prefers warm temperatures so aim to kept it above 18°C  during the growing season and in winter avoid cold draughts and exposure to temperatures  below 15°C.  This plant is also an obligate climber, so will will require you to provide it with support to grow.

  • Watering

Water your Cercestis mirabilis when the top 1/3 of the growing medium feels dry to the touch & the plant looks a little dull.  Avoid getting large drops of water on the leaves and leaving the plant sitting in water.  You are aiming to keep the plant moist but not water logged.  Letting it dry out a little and ensuring that when water any excess has drained away will avoid root rot. This is the most common reason for these plants failing to thrive in the home.

  • Pot Size

Your Cercestis mirabilis will be supplied in a 10.5 cm pot along with its own comprehensive easy to follow care guide.
