Plant Bio :
Hoya 'Silver Moon' features small to medium-sized, oval-shaped leaves that are deep green with prominent silver variegation. The variegation typically appears as splashes or splotches, giving each leaf a unique pattern. Like many Hoyas, 'Silver Moon' is a vining plant, making it ideal for hanging baskets or as a climbing plant on trellises. It produces clusters of star-shaped flowers, which are typically pink or white and may have a sweet fragrance, enhancing its ornamental appeal.
Positioning
Hoya 'Silver Moon' thrives in bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially in the morning, prolonged exposure to harsh sunlight should be avoided as it can scorch the variegated leaves. A spot near a window that receives filtered light, such as through a sheer curtain, is ideal.
Maintain temperatures between 18°C and 25°C. Hoya 'Silver Moon' is sensitive to cold and should be protected from drafts and sudden temperature changes.
Watering
Water when the growing medium has dried out. Ensure the plant is not left sitting in water to avoid root rot. Hoya 'Silver Moon' prefers to dry out slightly between waterings. During the winter, reduce the watering frequency to allow the plant to rest.
